1. Ah! Finally! Somebody with the moral authority to decide when other people should give up their pursuit of justice against the people who stole (and are still stealing) their homes and murdered (and ares till murdering) their families. Please, enlighten me, is 76 years exactly the correct amount of time to meekly capitulate to an invading force? Or is there another number that you deem more appropriate? 10 years? 50 years? 72 years? Just want to be precise for future articles.
Also, just curious, when should the Zionists have given up their claim to the land that Palestinians have been living on for thousands of years? When was it "time to accept it isn't Jewish land anymore"? 1000 years ago? 500 years ago? 77 years? Again, just hoping for clarity on the specifics.
2 + 3. Not sure what your point is. There are Jews from all over the world claiming that they have a God-given right to land they have no meaningful connection to and that their ancestors haven't lived on for centuries. But even if we focused only on Ashkenazi Jews for some reason, 25-30% of 9 million is 2.25-3 million people appropriating land that isn't theirs. That's quite a lot, no?
4. Yes, Israel pulled out of Gaza, left a humanitarian crisis in their wake (a crisis that they were largely responsible for causing), and then imposed a blockade a year later. I will happily join you in your criticisms of Hamas. They've been an unmitigated disaster for the Palestinian people. And yet, they haven't been oppressing Palestinians nearly as badly or nearly as along as Israel has.
5. Yes, not all Israelis are Jewish. I'm aware. But only Jewish Israelis have full rights in Israel or in the rest of the occupied territories. In fact, any Jew, from anywhere in the world, can go to Israel or the West Bank and immediately enjoy more rights than any Palestinian who's been living there for generations. I understand why Palestinians view this as a problem.
Again, if you want to engage in whataboutism about other countries, that's fine. I happen to believe that rights should never, ever be apportioned on the basis of ethnicity or religion. Do you?
6. Yes, Monaco was famously built by a population of refugees out of the ruins of a country that had been subjected to military occupation for the preceding sixty years. All it took was a little "Seed money" and a single year of withdrawal (before a blockade closed it off from the world entirely) and it was immediately a thriving utopia.
I have absolutely no problem recognising that Israel is not the only entity responsible for the carnage. I've devoted numerous articles to criticising Hamas. But it is trivially obvious that Zionism is at the root of the carnage we're seeing today. Lots of mistakes have been made all around since then, by Israelis and Palestinians, but let's be absolutely clear about how the problems started and what is almost entirely responsible for perpetuating them.
