1. I didn't claim it was either universal or "an official policy." (How on Earth could a propaganda slogan be an official policy? That’s like saying MAGA is Trump’s official policy.) But it was a widely used piece of propaganda that I still see people using in arguments today. It was a lie. That's the point, as Bar-Zohar has the integrity to admit.

3. If you think it's absurd to call Zionism colonialism, take it up with Jabotinsky and Ben-Gurion, not me. They called it colonialsm before I was even born. Here's another quote from Ben-Gurion:

"Let us not ignore the truth among ourselves … politically we are the aggressors and they defend themselves… The country is theirs, because they inhabit it, whereas we want to come here and settle down, and in their view we want to take away from them their country. … Behind the terrorism [by the Arabs] is a movement, which though primitive is not devoid of idealism and self sacrifice."

4. No, "the author" doesn't ignore the Arab rejection of the partition plan, he simply thinks, unlike you, that it's relevant. He doesn't think that lands should be occupied "regardless of the mood of the native population" or that native populations are an "inconsequential factor in determining whether or not to settle a territory."

If a foreign power came to settle the land where your home sits, and you said "No, I don't agree to this," I think that would be relevant. So do you. I would even support you in your struggle. But in the Palestinians' case you're a hypocrite.

5. No, the Gaza disengagement isn't "painted" as a cynical ploy, Dov Weissglass and Ariel Sharon admit that it was a cynical ploy. If you have an issue with a direct quote from Weissglass, take it up with him.

6. I'm used to the monstrous lies and evasions you idiots are capable of, but I'm not going to credit this one. The child death count in Gaza stands at around 11,000. If that number makes you uncomfortable, take it up with the IDF.

7. I have no issue with Jewish self-determination, I have a problem when some of those Jews use that self-determination to kill and displace hundreds of thousands of people.

Conclusion. The reaction to this article has been truly eye-opening. A bunch of cultists and brainwashed rubes discover, from the mouths of the Zionist leaders themselves, that they've been fed lies and half-truths all their lives, and their response is to blame the messenger.

I note, not one of you has offered any quotes from Zionists that counter any of this, no repudiations of the violent, colonial rhetoric in these people's own words, just attacks at me for providing a list of well sourced, verbatim quotes.

What you're bumping up against here is the discovery that though the early Zionists were violent and colonialist, they at least had the intellectual integrity to admit this. Integrity that you lack. If you had the capacity for self examination, you'd learn something from that.
