How are so many people simply unable to fathom that that you can condemn Israel AND ALSO condemn Hamas? That you don't have to choose between supporting one or the other as if they're sports teams.

Yes, you're right. The Palestinian people are the victims in all of this. I’m aware. I wrote an article saying exactly that almost seven months ago. So if you realise that, why do you side uncritically with the people who have spent the past 76+ years slaughtering and trying to ethnically cleanse them?

You’re also right that regardless of what Israel does, some people will want to kill all the Jews. Some people feel the same way about women and black people and gay people too. But the reason Hamas are able to find people willing to actually do that killing, whereas, for the most part, these other groups can’t, is that women and black people and gay people aren’t out there running a murderous, expansionist, supremacist state.

Israel, I would strongly argue, is responsible for more antisemitism in the world than any other entity. Partly because they disingenuously tie their atrocities to Jewish identity.

From the perspective of the Palestinians (and everybody who's been paying attention to this conflict for longer than the past eight months), the IDF and the Israeli government are terrorists. They are absolutely right to think this. And you would agree with them if you were born in Gaza or the West Bank. This fact isn't changed by the fact that Hamas are also terrorists. It is, however, worth noting that Hamas wouldn't exist, neither materially nor ideologically, if not for Zionism.
