Absolutely. I see impeachment as a political necessity. The message that this kind of behaviour is acceptable for a president would be catastrophic.

I disagree though. I absolutely can see a citizen being convicted for a similar offence. Imagine your celebrity of choice spreading the lies that Trump did to their fans, and then giving that speech on January 6th. Do you really think they wouldn't be knee deep in shit right now?
