Ah, I get it now. You feel attacked because you saw yourself reflected in the article.

Please, if you really are an “active anti-racist”, hear this; this is not a game. There are no medals for “playing” but messing up. It is absolutely not better to be doing “something” if that something is rolling back the progress that black people have literally died for. I don’t want anybody “on the court” who doesn’t understand the stakes, or how to help black people move forward.

The bad results you speak of are extra work that we have to undo IN ADDITION to the work of unravelling real racism. It's far more burdensome than the people who "stay off the court". Worse, these petty distractions give actual racists an excuse to claim that anti-racism is ridiculous because we have nothing better to do than quibble over minutiae.

Even if you are so far gone that you assume any agreement from a white person must mean that there's something wrong with the message, ask yourself why so many black people have also applauded and commented? Ask yourself why a black person took the time to write this. Your arrogance is staggering, yet sadly not surprising.
