And again, I wasn't arguing that it did. Although, given the point you make about chimpanzees, you'd need to very carefully define "significant ways."

My point is that I, for example, differ gentecially from black people from Kenya. And black people from Jamaica. And black people from Botswana. All of which are also vastly different geographical regions. And that's before you even talk about Aborigines.

So the idea that "black people" can be categorised as one group is as stupid as the idea that Russians and Chinese people can be categorised as one group. Our knowledge of the human genome does tell us this. Very clearly.

Again, race is a scientifically antiquated idea born in a time when we thought disease was caused by miasma and that atoms were indivisible. When we had no understanding of genetics at all. I'm not saying that the work on the human genome completes our understanding of genetics. I'm saying it very clearly debunks the idea of "race."
