And I thank you for this comment. Talking about this with people who defend injustice really chips away at the soul, and It's so welcome to hear from Jews who are willing to acknowledge the reality of the situation.

I don't think it's true that justice doesn't prevail. Though I think it's better thought of as a guiding principle than a realistic goal for the whole world. But the end of slavery and segregation was justice. Many people believed, understandably, that this justice would never be achieved. But it was. I truly hope, for the sake of Jews in Israel around the world and, of course, for the Palestinians, that justice can be achieved there too.
