And the point is this will never happen because there is no such thing as a world, for anybody, free from the danger of verbal or physical abuse. You're argung for a world of abolute safety, and while I try to be an optimist, there is a 0% chance of this happening. It's the most obviously quixotic goal I can imagine.

If you walk around in fear of being verbally or physically assaulted, you need to take a look yourself. Because psychologically healthy people don't do this. This isn't 400 hundred years ago. A lot can and has changed in 400 years. Pretending that it hasn't is also tired.

Yes, of course, I know there's more to be done. I've never denied it. In fact I regularly write about the work that still needs to be done. But pretendding that life is still an unending avalanche of racial misery for black people in 2021 is not part of that work.
