Finkelstein's comments here were disgusting. They would have been disgusting even if "only" 50 Israelis had been killed. You're literally commenting on an article where I condemn terrorism for any reason.

But his comments are no more disgusting than the scores of Israels apologists, soldiers, and even senior members of Israel's government, cheering and laughing and posting videos on TikTok mocking the suffering of innocent Palestinian men, women and children.

I'm sure you were just as eager to condemn them, right? RIGHT? You're not a hypocrite after all...

Finkelstein has done incredible, important work documenting this conflict, and he has seen such horrors committed by Israel in that time that I guess a certain degree of radicalisation is inevitable. That's not a justification, I will repeat that I think those comments are disgusting (and didn't know about them at the time I wrote this article), but that doesn't invalidate everything else he's ever said or wrote.

Too many people are absolutely incapable of nuance.
