As a writer I can confirm tgat this isn’t entirely true. Don’t get me wrong, it’s LARGELY true. There are plenty of writers who are the hacks and grifters you describe, but most of what they write is so obviously clickbait that I don’t even get past the headline. Others simply have different points of view, and even the hacks have people who read and comment who can be reasoned with.

One note though, if you leave a huge comment, many writers will just see the wall of text and tune out. Eveb I do this and I really try to abswer all the comments I can. Try to be concise and stick to one or two points and people are much more likely to engage.
