As with the conflict itself, it's silly for either side to try to proclaim innocence. I've seen Israel supporters being violent and deliberately causing trouble on campus so they can play the victim on TikTok, And I've seen Palestine supporters being authoritarian and bullying and horrifically antisemitic.

The biggest difference protesters can make to the people in Gaza is to educate the general public about what's going on. Chanting "Globalise the Intifada" and "Israel go to hell" is not going to help kids in Gaza. It's going to convince people of what the extremists desperately want the public to believe; that the only possible reason for criticising Israel is antisemitism.
