And he plagiarised an apology that had nothing to do with his professional qualifications. Gay was the president of one of the most prestigious universities in the world. And her plagiarism affected her academic record, which is the only thing that qualified her for that position.

I cite several white professors who were fired from their jobs for similar offences. One, who was let go for her disastrous congressional testimony alone when Gay wasn’t. So no, I don’t think you’re sorry to be claiming this is an instance of racism, I think you're absolutely desperate for it to be. And even if it is, even if Rufo went after her solely because he's racist, it doesn't change the fact that Gay is guilty of what she was accused of and that, again, other white professors have been fired for less.

In fact, Gay wasn't even fired. She remains on Harvard's faculty at the same salary. I strongly suspect they'll hire a person of colour as her replacement and I hope they choose someone better equipped for the role.
