Can I just say, it's so nice to see your name alongside a comment that isn't meant to be some stupid "gotcha". I mean, I think you're wrong, but at least you're actually trying to make a point instead of just searching for a phrase you can disingenuously twist the meaning of.

That said, no, this point doesn't follow.

There should be, and are, mechanisms to stop people discriminating against men/women when it comes to employment or opportunity, because men and women are equally capable in pretty much all areas expect physically. That's why female sport exists.

Without female sport, none of us knows the name of Serena Williams or Katie Ledecky or Flo-Jo, athletics scholarships are effectively unavailable to female students, women and girls know there's basically no point in training and trying to succeed in their favourite sports. I think that would be a tragedy.

The other obvious exception is female spaces based on safety and privacy. Men pose a greater danger to women than women do to men and this is self-evident, and is particularly evident when it comes to sexual violence.

So there are occasions where it's absolutely appropriate to give women privacy from men. This isn't discrimination. Despite the fact that I'm not a threat to women, I'm not being oppressed because I can't access a women's changing room. The laws that keep me out make it harder for predators and perverts to get in. I'm totally on board with that. As every male should be.
