Do you think it's relevant how the Nazis saw themselves? Do you think it matters how the morality police in Iran see themselves? Do you even think it matters how the people who raped and killed civilians on October 7th see themselves?

I can't fully appreciate how they see themselves, because their brains are warped by hate and fanaticism. And their fanaticism means, by definition, that they can't be reasoned with. It's only if they abandon their fanaticism that there's any real hope of a rational solution.

So they have to move towards rationality. There's no value in me trying to pretend to move towards their fanaticism.

My concern here is with the people who are more or less innocent. The Israeli and Palestinian civilians. The ones who don't deserve to be caught up in this war. The ones who didn't choose to drive Palestinians from their land and build illegal settlements. The ones who didn't choose to break through the fence and kill and abduct innocent Israelis.

Whatever religion these people claim to hold, their holy books teach them that these things are wrong. This is one of the first points I made about this war.

Zionism itself is wholly in conflict with the teachings of Judaism. Not just the violence, but the man-made establishment of the state of Israel itself. So even the premise of your point is misguided I think. This isn't about religion, it's about fanaticism and hate and greed. I'm not sure how you think it's possible to engage with that productively.
