Do you think so? I don't know about your experience in Peru, but I really don't think this is the case in general. Again, I'm not saying we shouldn't talk about the impact of past racism on present outcomes. I've even written about it myself.
But let's be real, most of the people writing their articles about it on Medium aren't dealing with the historical impact of redlining or the war on drugs. These are people who are using other people's pain to validate their desire to centre themselves. But their story about the time the barista at Starbucks might possibly, maybe, potentially have been racist to them, doesn't add any value to this discussion.
