First of all, that's not quite what he said now, is it?
"Since October 7th, I personally don't differentiate between Hamas and what, so-called, Palestinians. Because actually there is no Palestinians. There are... tribes."
Emphasis mine.
He then goes on to list several terrorist organisations and claim they'd kill each other if not for Israel. And he may be right. Who knows. But again, my sympathy is not and never has been, for the terrorists. It's for the Palestinian civilians being killed for tings that have nothing to do with them.
As I just said, I'm happy to condemn Hamas in whatever terms you would like me to. I've done so in writing several times since October 7th. But the entire point of the article, is to address the question of why Palestinians might support Hamas. To try to put yourselves in the place of the innocent people over there who have been oppressed and killed by Israel for decades. To claim this support is just because of Islamic extremism, especially while Israel is slaughtering their women and children by the tens of thousands before your eyes, is the pinnacle of wilful, simplistic blindness.
