If the content of the article you ostensibly read wasn't enough, I am clearly and unequivocally against Israel's slaughter of Palestinians and their decades-long violations of international law. I've written dozens of articles condemning Israel's slaughter of children. Again, including the one you're commenting on! That doesn't mean I blindly and uncritically support Hamas, who have also slaughtered Palestinians and care next to nothing about their deaths right now.

And no, the founding charter of the USA didn't endorse slavery. In fact, it extremely hypocritically proclaimed the equality of all men. But yes, it is absolutely right to refer back to those hypocritical foundations. And people do so regularly.

So if you care about this situation at all beyond using it as an excuse to be a smug idiot on the internet, grow up. Realise that the world isn't a simple landscape of black and white. As you said, people are dying.
