Haha, no, I didn't say only vaginal penetration counts as sex. In fact, I didn't even mention vaginal penetration! I said something beyond a blowjob. Us straighties have anal sex too you know 😄

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that sometimes the truth is legitimately a matter of perspective. And other times people genuinely believe falsehoods. In other cases, lies are unverifiable until the damage has already been done. And again, you'd need to be able to prove the the person knew they were lying. What stops Trump from saying that one of his advisors was feeding him info that legitimately convinced him that the election had been stolen?

Again, it's not as if I support lying. I very much want a political sphere where politicians can be depended upon to tell the truth and present facts with their proper context. I just think litigating that is an extraordinarily high bar. Maybe they should be forced to make any suspect claims under oath, so they can be convicted for perjury (that's what got Clinton impeached, not the "lie" itself, but the question whether he perjured himself), but that obviously wouldn't be workable for everything they said.
