Haha, oh God no. You're right, Hamas will never accept. But I think people in Palestine would oppose Hamas if a genuine, sincere option was in the table. I think everybody is tired of the fighting. Couple that with international pressure and military action and you might have something.

I think Israel not only has another option, they have a better option. Firstly because bombing is almost certainly going to be ineffective except as the aforementioned recruitment drive for Hamas, and secondly because they're still actively creating the conditions that make Palestinians hate them.

There's no way to look seriously at this conflict without acknowledging Israel's part in it. Israel has killed countless more Palestinians than the other way around. Israel is still occupying Gaza. If this is ever going to end, that has to change.
