Haha, yeah, he's obviously very biased. I don't think he makes any secret of that. I think a lot of people are biased on this issue, which is why it's so difficult to solve it. But I don't think his argument needs "selling."
Israel is arguing that it is acting in self defence. But let's be conservative and say 90% of the people they've killed pose no threat to them. Israel is being urged from all quarters to make a proportional response. But so far, in response to 1200 murdered Israelis, over 10,000 Palestinians have been killed. And we've seen this ratio, or worse, pretty much every time there's fighting.
I wonder why people in the region think Israel is the bad guy.
Again, I know that the situation is more complex than these numbers suggest. I'm not saying that Israel shouldn't respond to Hamas. I'm not interested, one way or the other, in arguing about who is worse overall. Again, I just don't think this is going to be solved with bombs and guns. I hope that everybody who wants peace figures that out sooner rather than later.
