Haha, yeah, I was aware of the irony of this. My point was (is) about scale.

Given the number of people who were absolutely convinced that a black person would have been shot on sight if they walked around in public with a semi-automatic weapon like Rittenhouse did, I’m willing to bet that almost nobody knew this had happened. Even though the Arbery case itself was covered quite widely.

I write for a living. I have time to dig up stories and do research that most people don’t. But the fact that it’s necessary to dig around to learn these things is the issue.
