Hmm, no I don't think this is true. As I've said here and elsewhere, I'm against CRT, but I'm very much against racism.

I think we've reached a point where being called a racist or a transphobe or to a lesser degree a sexist just needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. The people making these accusations haven't given the least bit of thought as to whether they're true. They're used to shut down conversation, and it's conversation that we need.

If somebody calls you a racist for opposing CRT, ask them if MLK needed CRT. Or Nelson Mandela. Or Maya Angelou. Or Thomas Sowell. CRT is a fairly recent invention that is absolutely not necessary to talk seriously and clearly about racism. Anybody who claims otherwise is demonstrating how little they know about civil rights.

So to your point about pledges of allegiance, I agree. We don't need ideologues, we need thinkers. And thinkers should always be independent and unaffiliated. But don't confuse the ideology with the idea. Being anti-racist is totally compatible with not being AN anti-racist.
