Hmm, no. I have a pretty big problems with this. The idea that merit based practices are racist is itself racist.

It suggests that people of colour are simply incapable of meeting the stands of their white peers, and in education say, it produces students who are less well educated.

There are many complex but fixable reasons for disparities in education performance. In my opinion they should be absolutely top priority when it comes to addressing racial equality. And yes, there might be better ways of looking at aptitude than simply "did you score highly on this particular test".

But the end goal should be to hire the best people, not to make your company photo look "diverse". In the end, that kind of diversity will do more harm than good for black people.
