How old are you Michael? Jim Crow was 60 years ago. Does that really qualify as ancient history? I'm well aware it can't be changed. I'm not suggesting it can be. I'm suggesting something can be and is being done to right a wrong.

This is a fundamental concept of justice, right? If somebody is murdered, it can't be changed. Nothing that anybody can do brings that person back. But the family of that person, who WEREN'T killed, have lost something, and justice is supposed to do something about that.

There's a difference, a very big difference, between being held back, (which I never claimed I am being, in fact I'm very clear that there are ways in which black people are given a helping hand today) and starting further back than everybody else.

Countless black people have been successful despite this disadvantage, but what this does is require that black people be exceptional so that they can reach the same point that non-exceptional white people can expect to reach in life. This is not right.

Everything else you've written here is just you projecting. I'm not looking for payback. As I said, if black people got payback for slavery instead of justice, you and your family would be on a plantation somewhere. And if that thought makes you feel angry or indignant, that's precisely my point.
