😁 I actually did mention that Putin has nuclear weapons. This is part of the problem.

First, why don't we continue your list?

Poland? Nucluear weapons.

France? Nuclear weapons.

The UK? Nuclear weapons.

At what point does the fact that Putin has nuclear weapons stop meaning we have to let him do whatever he wants?

I agree that sanctions and sending arms aren't nothing. But they do nothing to prevent the men, women and children being murdered right now from being murdered. The only thing that would prevent them from being murdered, is if this kind of serious action had been before bombs started dropping on people's heads.

I get it, hindsight is 20/20. It's easy to sit here now and say what should have been done. But the UN has had at least 23 years of hindsight through which to view Putin's actions. And they have done next-to-nothing until now, when it just might be too late to avert large-scale war and it clearly is too late to avert a war which is right now, as we speak, killing thousands of people.

Don't get me wrong, I'm about as far from a hawk as there could be. Nobody in their right mind wants a nuclear war. Or a war of any kind. I couldn't agree more with your sentiment here. But a) Putin clearly isn't in his right mind, and b) the only way to avoid war is to act decisively before a war has started.
