I actually do talk about that in the introduction. But I'm honestly not interested in what the Right is doing with the term. Plenty of us on the Left have been talking about this problem too. Because it desperately needs to be talked about.

Closing ranks and burying our heads in the sand because we're afraid "the Right" might say mean things about the obvious issues on the Left is why this problem has gotten so bad.

Wokeness is the Left's Trumpism. No doubt you'd ask reasonable conservatives to speak out against Trumpism. We should do the same.
