I am long past the point where I'm going to argue with anybody about whether this is a genoicde. I have my opinion on whether the word is appropriate, you have yours, and I've learned that no amount of facts or evidence or discussion of the internationally and legally recognised definition of the word "genocide" is likely to change that (although it's impossible to argue at this point that the killing of Palestinians and the devastation in Gaza isn't planned).
Official policy is far better discerned by actions instead of words. You Jews should know that too, right?
But regardless, what is not a matter of opinion, is that after 10 months of "war," almost 40,000 people are dead, most of them women and children, Israel's goals are still not met or even meaningfully defined (a problem I've been talking about pretty much since the war began), Hamas are still in power, over 100 hostages remain in Gaza with no meaningful efforts to secure their release, and there's no end in sight.
In fact, it's very likely that Israel and perhaps the rest of the world is going to get drawn into a wider, fast more dangerous war that will kill many more innocent Israelis, more innocent Palestinians, and all for, what exactly? "Total victory"? What the hell does that even mean at this point?
Arguing about the use of the word genocide is literally the least of your worries.
