I asked whether they support your view of black people, as in your opinion that we're all crippled by victim mentality and moaning about imaginary racism. Arguments aren't straw men just because you don't have the ability to counter them.

So a few stories about people being cancelled, are driving national discourse, a few stories about racism, overblown. Got it. Tiny minorities often have an outsized impact on national discourse. Consider trans people for example. Around 1% of the population, God knows what tiny fraction of that 1% are actual activists, yet they've got Scientific American claiming that sex isn't real. They're driving policy decisions at the White House that may well transform women's sport. It's become controversial to say that only women can have periods. You are not paying attention.

I mention false outrage in my piece, just not enough for you. Just like last time, you feel the need to come into the comments not to tell me that I missed something, but simply to tell me how you wished there was MORE. I'm beyond hoping that you'll have the self awareness to see what this says about you, but it's plain as day. And please stop tokenising intellects you don't hold a candle to as an appeal to authority. I think very highly of all the scholars you mentioned, am very familiar with their work, and understand it well enough to not simply swallow it wholesale, but the bottom lline is that they don't see racism nearly as simplistically as you do. Nor do I.

Your whole schtick is that racism is just black people wallowing in victimhood, then you claim to hate "real racism" as a defence against bigotry. Neither Sowell, nor McWhorter, nor Loury, nor Hughes do this. They point to fake outrage where they see it, as do I. They point to woke racism where they see it, as do I. And they point to real racism where they see it, as do I. Believe me, I can handle critique, but, "talk more shit about black people" isn't a critique. It's just revealing of your true attitudes. By the way, what IS real racism in your mind might I ask? Seeing as you "hate" it so much. Is there nothing to talk about unless there's a flaming cross on a black person's lawn, or is there perhaps some nuance?

What I caught you doing last time is taking your general frustrations with some of the narratives you've been hearing and laying them at my feet as if I said them or (more likely) as if all black poeple think the same way. I called you on this numerous times during that conversation and you denied it until finally saying it yourself. I don't know the first thing about you except that you're not nearly as unbiased as you like to believe you are, but from what I do know, you seem precisely the type who'd scurry away rather than admit they were wrong. As I said, I've been arguing on the internet for more than long enough to recognise the type.

Let's be clear, this isn't a debate. You have barely any idea what you're talking about and your view of black issues is a cariacature. Challenging you to write your own article isn't about frustration, it's about seeing if you have the ability and the courage to organise your thoughts, and put them on a page in a way that shows what substance, if any, there is to them. You talk about the surest way to racial equality. You talk with confidence bordering on arrogance about the true causes of black people’s woes, yet what do you have to back it up? Nothing.

So maybe you're right after all. I think I've continued to engage you purely because of that little glimmer of hope you gave me in our very first interaction. I pegged you as a time-waster who was only interested in claiming that racism was made up and dodging any arguments that you couldn't refute, and then you made me think I'd been too hasty by showing that you'd at least given some thought to your argument. But it seems I was basically right the first time. A slightly higher grade of time-waster perhaps, but ultimately only interested in dismissing racism for reasons I'm still unclear on. So you're right, next time I see your name pop up, if you don't have anything valuable to say, I won't continue to hope you're open to thinking about these issues honestly. I'll just ignore you.
