I couldn't agree more. It's a shame that some people's empathy only works across certain arbitrary lines like race or gender. Everybody knows what it means to suffer and be treated unfairly.

When that unfairness is focused on one group, we should all focus our attentipn on fixing it, obviously, but the way to do that isn't by blaming all of the members of a different group.
