I definitely don't think they're people with no political affiliation. I see this kind of stuff coming exclusively from the Left.

Not to say that this is typical of course, I'm firmly on the Left too. But I think there's a certain type of liberal who, mostly with good intentions, treats people of colour as if they're a different, slighly inferior species.
