I didn’t ask you to edit anything. I simply pointed out that in your comment you wrote a list of words but not that one. You’re right, initialising all of those other slurs would make them less clear, but writing out the n-word in full would make it more clear. Yet you chose not to.

I presume you’re referring to negro when you say you write a “variation” out in full, which again, misses the point. Negro while outdated, isn’t widely considered a slur. Certainly not on the same order. It’s more like “coloured”.

But anyway, if you want to pretend you don’t see the difference between this word and others that’s fine by me. I doubt you’ll find a single person who doesn’t understand the distinction.

To be clear, I’m not defending that distinction. In fact, I’m arguing against it. But it’s bizarre that you’re trying to pretend the distinction doesn’t exist. Do you think there’s any other word that would get people fired simply for uttering it?
