I don't see it like this. Black people and white people aren't different types of people. We're humans, of course we should be interested in each other's wellbeing. Add to that the fact that many of the problems black people face are because of white people's actions and you have a situation where collaboration is obviously necessary.
So while I absolutely don't think that black people are helpless, as I don't believe that any group of people are helpless, looking at problems as "black people problems" and "white people problems" is totally the wrong way to move forward in my opinion.
