I don’t think the whole “white people admitting that they’re racist” thing is particularly helpful to be honest. I mean, if they ARE racist, then trying to address that would be wonderful. But the mea culpas don’t achieve much. Plus, you only need to take a quick look at some of the articles on Medium to see that black people can be racist too.

Prejudice, in all of it’s flavours, is a human problem, not a white one. The fact that society has weaponised prejudice against black people is a serious problem of course, and needs to be addressed, but I think the best way for individuals to do that is for ALL of us to work on oursleves.
