I have visited Israel. I've visited Jerusalem. I actually loved it there. Tel Aviv is one of my favourite cities on Earth. This is utterly irrelevant to the point.

And I can find plaques charting the history of segregation and slavery all over America and around the world. I would consider anybody talking about (as some people still do) the black experience purely in terms of those past atrocities as brainwashed. Or perhaps just an idiot.

Yes, there's been terrible violence in Israel. No serious person would deny it. In fact, serous people would like ti to stop as soon as possible to the benefit of Israelis and Palestinians.

If only you narcissists could find it within yourself to ask whether Israel is doing anything to provoke that violence. If, just maybe, it's been doing those things for decades. or maybe, if Israel has been doing things that are just as bad, and often worse, to Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank for most of its existence. Then, perhaps, it would be possible to have a productive conversation about peace.

It is so repugnant to see you and your ilk talk about the atrocities committed in Israel, and they are atrocities, without ever asking yourself whether these things aren't just falling out of the sky. Whether the millions of people, over decades and decades, many of them Jewish, who have been talking about the atrocities Israel is committing have a point.
