I honestly don't have words for how much I hate generlaisations like this. No. This is not "white supremacy."
"Blackness" is not, by contrast, being laid back, being unconcerned with progress, or having a "that's good enough" attitude. If anything, believing this is white supremacy. If parents don't encourage their children to do well in school, they're bad parents. Period. Parents do this in Africa too.
Black people are not only living authentically if they're eating berries on the savannah. Education is important all over the world. Wanting to do well at it (and especially wanting your children to do well at it) isn't "white."
