I insult because I am disgusted beyond belief with the incessant lies and crybullying and victimhood seeking. I insult because I'm horrified to discover an undercurrent of racist, sociopathic gaslighting that I would never have believed existed in people who manage to appear decent on the surface. I insult because I have spent so much time over the past few months talking to people as they defend a genocide that my faith in humanity is lower than at any point in my entire life.

Believe me, limiting myself to the degree of insult I've chosen here is the highest expression of my self restraint.

The chant doesn't even talk about being free of Israelis, never mind free of Jews in general. It talks only about the freedom of Palestine. And even if the chant were talking about the genocide of Jews in Israel, which it incredibly obviously isn't, that is not the same as a request to remove "blacks or gays or trans people" from campus, as you so disingenuously tried to claim.

Jews, Muslims and Christians lived in that part of the world, mostly in peace, for millennia before the idea that an unlimited number of European Jews had a God-given right to come to steal the land from the people living there and kill anybody who resisted. The belief that it's not possible for Israelis to live there in peace now unless Palestinians suffer, is not only monstrous, it's completely backwards. Israelis will never be truly safe until Palestinians are free. Many Israelis have come to this simple realisation.

But if you're so horrified by this particular combination of words, if they can only be understood as a call to genocide in your mind, instead of a simple call for an end to the oppression of the Palestinian people, then you must also think that Likud is genocidal for including its own version of "from the river to the sea" in its charter, right? You must surely agree that Netanyahu was inciting genocide when he stood before the UN General Assembly several weeks before October 7th, and held up a map of "Greater Israel" with Gaza AND THE WEST BANK completely erased.

Surely you wouldn't be holding Israel to different standards than you do Palestinians, right? Not you.
