I linked to the Wiki on CRT simply because I knew some number of the people who were reading the article wouldn't know what it was. I wasn't trying to debunk it or have Wikipedia argue against it. That would be a much longer article in itself.
But I'm not exaggerating when I say that I see CRT as the single greatest threat to race relations, civil rights, and black progress in the world today. It is an absolutely toxic and hopelessly flawed ideology which infantilises and disempowers black people, gives racists a stick to beat genuine efforts to fight racism with, and lets well meaning white people believe that they're helping when they aren't.
It's not that there aren't other threats of course. There are neo-nazis talking about white genocide and race wars, but none of this is being taught in schools and published in widely read newspapers and receiving million dollar grants.
The fact that racial progress isn't a straight line (or better yet instantaneous) is a source of enormous frustration. Believe me when I say it's more frustrating for me than it is for you. The solution isn't to embrace an ideology that teaches black children that they are doomed to fail when they're not. Or that they're powerless when they're not. Or that they're incapable of achieving the same standards of education as other students when they're not.
