I really wish that were true. Or rather, I think it is true for the vast majority of trans people, but not for the loudest members of the community. Especially online, which, like it or not, is where most people get their only exposure to trans people and gender related ideas.

But yeah, if somebody with a penis walks into a communal changing room with women and girls and gets undressed, it's unreasonable to expect everybody to just "leave them alone."

If somebody with almost all the physical advantages of being born male starts competing against women, it's unreasonable to expect everybody to just "leave them alone."

If a male rapist, gets transferred to a female prison, it's unreasonable to expect everybody to just "leave them alone."

Cases like these aren't everyday life. In everyday life, I'm 100% with you that trans people should be left to life their lives in dignity and security and peace. But we can't pretend these conflicts don't exist. And I think a major issue is that the trans community seems completely unwilling to have an honest conversation about them that is compassionate both to trans people and women.
