I think (hope?) you're wrong about this. But I'll say this. If he is re-elected, it's because most people were too busy drowning in apathy to get off their asses and vote. That and that the Democrats once again field a candidate who is borderline unelectable (but that's a separate problem).
And yes, I think you're right. I think mst people would like to see all kinds of things improve. But the key problem with "most people" is that they're always looking around for somebody else to take action. Some people aren't succeeding because their views are popular. It's because they're willing to fight to get what they want. That's the missing ingredient.
