I think the overarching point is that thinking of murder in terms of "black" murder and "white" murder is the wrong way to look at it. Skin colour is a ridiculous way to categorise crime. Just as ridiculous as categorising it by eye colour or left-handedness.
Sadly, we're so used to thinking un terms of "race" hardly anybody stops to think about it.
But yes, given everything we currently know about crime, poor people commit more crime than wealthy people. Not just murder, but all crime.
This isn't to say that rich people are more virtuous. Simply that people commit crimes, generally speaking, because they don't have enough to eat, or can't afford the mental health care they need. If you have a comfortable life, or if you can afford good therapists, you're less likely to risk your life or your freedom to get a little more.
