I'm not familiar with the situation in Canada with land rights, but yeah, this is the kind of thing I'm ttalking about.
If society and the government has been "less than forthright", eventually people will get angry about their ttreatment. And if they get the opportunity to strike back, some of them will. Considering the issue to be "their business" until the "striking back" part happens is the problem. Eventually injustice is going to impact everybody in a society.
The source of my hope (my optimism varies from day to day😅) is that people will eventually have no choice but to understand this simple truth en masse. The question is how far the pendulum has to swing. Don't get me wrong, the extremism is clearly a serious problem, but so is the complacency.
