I'm replying only to repeat that I will no longer be engaging with you on this issue. It's genuinely bad for my mental health to be reminded that there are people whose moral compass is so easily demagnetised. I don't think I've ever seen somebody go from at least the veneer of rationality on some issues to such grotesque reality-distorting apologia for atrocities.
I have never, at any point, justified the atrocities of Hamas. In fact I've clearly and unequivocally condemned them several times.
Yet here you are, literally arguing the slaveowner's side of Nat Turner's rebellion, describing slaveowners as “kind or supportive” and glossing over the horrors OF SLAVERY ITSELF to justify your desire to look only at how unreasonable these victims of oppression were to fight back and not how the sins of the oppressors were thousands of times greater. And you do this all without the slightest shred of self-awareness or recognition of which side of history that puts you on.
I wonder what you'd have said about the Warsaw uprising. Or, indeed, what you'd have said to the slaves.
Should they have just accepted their oppression forever, sheep-like, instead of fighting back? Should they have comforted themselves with the knowledge that some of the white people who tacitly supported their enslavement paid this kind of paltry lip service to the injustice of slavery, all while knowing they would absolutely never lift even a finger to stop it? And, indeed, that they'd go to bat again and again and again to defend it?
But don't bother to tell me. Again, I won't even glance at your replies to this.
p.s. Just on this idiotic, absolutely cringingly pathetic “blood libel” claim (you really give no thought at all before crying wolf with these aspersions do you?) I clearly state in the article that I’m talking about Israeli politicians and journalists. I then provide links to them saying exactly what I claim they’re saying. I say not a word about 7 million Israelis or their views.
I can only write the words, I can’t stop your seemingly limitless dishonesty and victimhood complex from misinterpreting them.
