I'm saying that Kendi not in any way related to the invention of the words "woke" or "whiteness." Kendi's anti-racism is a deeply flawed call to address racial inequality. Racial inequality is a real problem. His proposed solution is idiotic and racist.

White privilege is a term used to describe the observable fat that having white skin in America has conferred certain advantages for as long as America has existed. All but one of America's presidents have been white. Almost all Supreme Court justices have been white. In fact, almost everybody in any position of significant power, for the entirety of America's history, has been white. You think that's just a coincidence?

Of course, almost all of these people have been male too. Being male also confers certain privileges. It's not "anti-male" to admit this.

The only problem with the concept of white privilege is that most people who invoke it act as if "whiteness" is the only privilege. This is very obviously untrue. I actually have written an article about this.
