Is Hamas a minority or a majority of the 2.1 million people living in Gaza? How are the actions of the radicals in the West Bank, who, again, act with the support of the IDF and Netanyahu himself, justified by the actions of Hamas who aren't even in power there?
And yes, support for the people fighting against the occupying force that has spent the past 75 years killing your children and stealing your land and homes is NORMAL. I've already written about this. Especially when you think, as 90% of Palestinians do, that October 7th was a legitimate military strike and they're unaware of or don't believe that any rapes/killing of civilians took place.
Most Palestinians don't see Hamas as terrorists. And if you lived in Gaza your whole life and faced the same treatment they do at the hands of the Israelis, you'd probably agree with them. So you writing terrorist organisation in all-caps is meaningless.
And weren't you the one talking about being "privileged"? You don't know what it's like to have spent your entire life living somewhere that was under blockade. You don't know what it's like to watch your children die in blasts from Israeli bombs. You don't know what it's like to have an occupying power stop you from leaving the tiny enclave you live in in search of a better life. You don't know how you'd feel if your parents told you stories about how Israelis killed and raped your grand parents and drove them from their homes.
Israel had near universal international support to "go after" Hamas after October 7th. The reason they've lost that support is that sane people can see that what they're doing is monstrous.
