It matters because your view of black people is bigoted and ignorant and I see little chance of that changing if you don't meaningfully interact with us. Though maybe that's precisely why you haven't interacted with us. And I don't mean interact with us as avatars for the politicisation of black rights. I don't mean as black ideologues. I mean as ordinary human beings, who it might surprise you to learn have more to us than our views on racial equality. Jesus man!😅
And of course it matters how tiny a minority it is. You see a few news stories about cancellations, in a media that is absolutely rabid for stories sensationalising race, and you think you have a representative view? Have you heard of availability bias? Again, I notice that your scrupulousness doesn't apply to stories about racism affecting black people. I'm sure that whenever you see one of those stories you decide it's just an isolated, overblown incident and not a meaningful problem worth talking about. Not so with black people being victims drunk on power though. Imagine my surprise...
Your "real world example" is preposterous, and once again, demonstrates that you have no idea what you're talking about. If you think this is a reasonable suspicion, or represents the overwhelming majority of interactions between black and white employes/employers, then I'm not surprised that your notion of "fighting for racial justice" is repeating your irritatingly racist talking points ad nauseum in the comments of my (and no doubt others') articles. Though given that your response to being caught treating me as representative of "black views" I don't even hold is to scurry away in silence instead of acknowledging your mistake, I don't have much hope that you're interested in learning.
It seems clear that I'm never going to write an article which is scathing enough of black people to scratch that itch for you, and I'm 100% okay with that. So here's an idea; why don't you write one? Take some of that "up and at 'em" attitude that us black people so desperately need, and write the article you want to see written. Teach us all instead of whining that I'm not writing what you want me to write. Draw us a map to that "surest way toward racial equality" you see. Oh, and be sure to tag me. I'd love to read it.
