It was absolutely heartbreaking researching stories of what women have been through in places and times when abortion wasn't legal. That anybody seriously believes women make this choice lightly is mind-boggling to me.

Abortion is a serious issue. I think almost everybody agrees with that. But banning it is the wrong move by numerous different measures. If people actually thought about the circumstances that most women have them under, instead of imagining this caricature of a woman gleefully using abortion as contraception, that would be obvious.
