It's fascinating how backwards you have this. The hole that is being used to attack genuine efforts to root out racism (not a tiny hole by the way, a great, yawning chasm), is the exact excesses I'm pointing to here. Every time a story like this happens, these exact people get to say:

"Look at this! You see how stupid and crazy they are?! They have nothing better to do than complain about how PB&Js are racist. They want to indoctrinate your kids."

People who would defend this nonsense, people who would unselfconsciously speak about a concept as mind-numbingly stupid as "white dominated time-keeping", these are the people who conservatives use to undermine the fight against racism.
