Jay, I'm sorry my friend, as you know, I spend a lot of time reading and responding to people's messages. Between working, researching and writing, I just don't have time to go through an eight minute read to figure out what each person is trying to say.

But I will say that people who assert that they're "the least racist person" or "the most empathetic person" very rarely are. A certain Mr. Trump made the same mistake if you'll remember. Plus, placing your levels of empathy over other people's with no means of measuring other people's empathy isn't a particularly empathetic (or humble) thing to do.

As I said before, I don't know you. I've never accused you of being selfish or racist or anything else. All I can do is interpret the way you behave towards me in these very limited interactions. But yes, if you don't see why I'm unimpressed by you repeatedly projecting the views of other black writers onto me, even though it's obvious from every word I've ever written that I disagree with them, then I'd question your empathy and your racial attitudes.
