Jeez Natasha, I understand semiotics. I'm quite well educated you know. I just don't feel the need to reel off a list of my achievements. As I already said, (I'm getting the distinct impression you're barely reading my replies), your argument was just poorly laid out and torturously verbose.

You're having an abstract conversation about how people could use language, and I'm talking about the easily demonstrable ways in which people do use language. Again, you're conflating the word "woman" with concepts like "womanly" and "feminine."

You're doing the same thing with the word "argue." Yes, if, for example, you say, "I'm arguing my case." You wouldn't be expected, by most people, to be having an actual argument. But when you say "I'm arguing with someone," that carries a very different connotation. I don't know, maybe English isn't your first language, but this is pretty simple linguistic nuance.

So no, you don't have evidence that I don't understand words like “arguing” (I am a writer you know😅), but you might have evidence that you're speaking to somebody with a better grasp of the nuance of the English language than you do, and that you're using it poorly. Perhaps your confidence is groundless.

But anyway, this is a very long way from the scope of our original conversation. I have no need or intention of having an intellectual "dick-waving" competition with you. I have no insecurity about my own intelligence and no fear of the possibility that yours might be greater (whatever that would even mean). It still wouldn't make you right.

As I've said numerous times now (and you apparently lack the humility to even consider about yourself), maybe I'm missing something. I don't think I am, but it's possible. Maybe everybody but me thinks that if a man puts on a dress he suddenly, literally, becomes a woman. Maybe your argument is watertight. But you know what they say; "if you can't explain it to a five-year-old, you don't understand it." And I’m at least as intelligent as a five-year-old.
