October 7th was so hideous that I think a lot of people just kind of hunkered down and awaited Israel's response. Yes, it was going to be horrible, but what other choice was there when Hamas' actions were so horrific?

Plus, seeing rockets hit buildings feels a lot different than seeing individuals rape and shoot innocent people.

But Israel's response has gone way past inexcusable. Way past any claims of self-defence or basic human decency. And seeing them do it so brazenly, seeing people continue to support their bombing with no end in sight or even a sense that an end needs to be in sight, has really changed the way I see some them..
